Sunshine Coast Regional Dawn Patrol Report (Thursday 25th February 5:31am) Shortrange combo mix of ESE/SE swell has picked up a little overnight with average wave height along the regions more exposed open beaches in the waist to head high range. Wave quality and surf conditions is poor to fair being subject to E/SE winds earlier on making for lumpy bumpy uneven swell lines, with it cleaning up some as you head to those southern pockets. The open beaches definitely having the most size, smaller fuller waves starting to get buried on the points coupled with the incoming tide (High Tide Alex 6:52am @1.9m). Best options are to make the most of the earlier morning surf session, as surf conditions will deteriorate even further. (Low Tide Alex 1:22am @0.5m) Rest of the day outlook: Onshore winds out of the E/SE will shift more from the E/NE through the day at around 10-15 knots, continuing to mess up the shortrange mix of ESE/SE swell. Expect wind affected lumpy waves along the open beaches, maintaining reasonable size, though really for the desperate ones who don't mind the choppy waves. Don't expect much in the way of any sheltered surf, with those onshore winds pretty much getting in everywhere. Those onshore winds although not strong, should have enough puff for those Kite Surfers. Enjoy your day in the waves. Spinksy.
