Regional morning report for Newcastle: 7.00 am Thursday, 25th February: There's a new ENE windswell in the water, showing decent size in the head-high range and occasionally overhead across the exposed stretches, and it's wrapping at lower levels elsewhere. There's a wait for the bigger sets and there's a bit of texture, compliments of a light north to NW breeze and early high tide, but in the scheme of things it's looking well worth your time. The tide is high at 7.49 am and it will run out fo a 2.32 pm low. Rest of the Day Outlook: Short range ENE swell is set to peak throughout the morning before steadily easing this arvo, as fresh north to NE winds limit the better options to sheltered northern corners.
